Casio Establishes New Subsidiary to Expand Sales in Latin America
Casio Mexico Marketing Established in Mexico City
TOKYO, April 10, 2008 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd., announced today the establishment of Casio Mexico Marketing, S. de R. L. de C.V., a new subsidiary in Mexico City. The new company, whose mission is to expand Casio’s sales in Latin America, begins operations today, April 10, 2008.

In 2006, Casio established Casio Latin America, Inc., in Miami, Florida. Casio Latin America has served as a base for sales promotion efforts aimed at growing Casio’s business in Latin America. The Latin American region has been recording impressive economic growth in recent years.

Casio has established the new subsidiary in Mexico, which is one of the two largest national markets in Latin America, with the aim of further strengthening its sales in Latin America. Mexico is home to more than 100 million people, and the geographical advantage conferred by its proximity to the United States is another reason to expect further growth into the future.

Casio Mexico Marketing is Casio’s first sales subsidiary in the Latin American region. The new company will carry out marketing operations aimed at the Mexican market for Casio’s digital cameras, which are enjoying strong market growth, as well as other products including electronic calculators, timepieces and electronic musical instruments. With the establishment of the new company, Casio will seek to expand its distribution channels on a product by product basis. At the same time, it will seek to expand the scale of the business through marketing that is closely tailored to the Mexican market. For example, it will aim to boost sales of electronic calculators and electronic dictionaries in the school and educational market.
