CASIO has long boasted the largest number of users in the world, and the CASIO calculator has adopted the Key Roll Over system to meet various purposes and to provide these users with easy-to-use calculators. This system can recognize every keystroke, enabling quick and successive entry with no keystroke lost. Therefore, you can precisely type keys as when you use the keyboard of a personal computer with touch-typing.
The 2-Line, S-V.P.A.M Series are equipped with nine variable memory areas (A, B, C, D, E, F, X, Y, M) and M+/M- functions that enable the direct addition/subtraction of the content of the variable memory to/from the M memory.
In these days, calculators are used in many places. For example, a light and portable calculator can be used not only on a desk in classrooms or offices but also in an open-air field such as under construction. You can use the hard case to protect the key panel and make it easy to bring the calculator.

All models of the 2-Line, S-V.P.A.M Series are equipped with the statistical functions which can calculate standard deviations and regressions. In addition, the fx-991W/570W/115W/115W PLUS/100W models are equipped with the function to calculate probability distributions.
Standard deviation calculations
You can calculate the sample standard deviation n-1,
population standard deviation n, average x, sample number n,
sum of the sample x and sum of square of the sample x^2.
Regression calculations
You can calculate six types of regressions; linear, logarithmic, exponential, power, reciprocal and secondary regressions.
Probability distribution calculations
You can calculate the probabilities P(t), Q(t), R(t) and the standardized variate t(x)
The Base-n calculating function of the 2-Line, S-V.P.A.M Series can calculate binary, octal, decimal and hexadecimal numbers, transform a number into a number of n-base number system and perform the logical operation of numbers.
In the complex mode, arithmetic operations and calculation of the absolute value and argument of a complex number are available.
This function is useful when calculating the solution of the expression repeatedly while changing the coefficients.
Example
To calculate the values of Y of a quadric curve Y=X^2-3,
when the values of X are -2, -1, 0, 1, 0.
Caution The CALC function cannot store the expression.
Forty types of the physical constants (compliant with ISO standard) used in scientific calculations and the metric conversion between 20 types of units (compliant with ISO standard) (40 conversions in total including bi-directional conversion ones) are built in.
