The
Tutor Application is a program created to support high school students
in their study of algebra. It has been developed by CASIO and many math
instructors, aiming to correct students' weaknesses in algebra. The prime
feature of the ALGEBRA FX 2.0 PLUS is its ability to show each step leading up
to the solution, in a similar way as a teacher does in class, rather than
showing only the immediate solution. Furthermore, ALGEBRA FX 2.0 PLUS shows the
most widely known way, though there are a variety of approaches leading
up to the solution.
With the Tutor Application, students can learn algebra in two modes,
the Auto Mode and the Manual Mode, and they can verify whether the solution
they have arrived at is correct or not. |

| First
Phase |
Selecting
an equation or an inequality
Students can select from among linear equations, inequalities, quadratic
equations and simultaneous equations. |

| Second
Phase |
| Selecting
a type of the selected equation or inequality |
 |

Inequality |
AX=B
X+A=B

AX>B
X+A>B

Giving coefficients
to the selected equation or inequality
There are four ways of giving coefficients. |
|
 |
 |
| RAND: |
Coefficients
are given randomly by the ALGEBRA FX 2.0 PLUS.
This function is very useful for students to repeat exercises and
also for teachers when giving their students exercises. |
| INPUT: |
Students can
determine coefficients as they like. |
| SMPL: |
Students can
select an example. |
| SEED: |
Students can
select from among 99 exercises for each algebraic type. In addition,
the same exercise can be given to all students in a class by specifying
the same number from 1 to 99. |
|
|
| Fourth
Phase |
Solving
the selected equation or inequality automatically or manually and verifying
the solution.
