Why can't I establish a USB connection?

What you need to do depends on your computer operating system. Find your operating system below, and then click the applicable item for more information.
[ Windows 98 and Me Users ]
1.
First check to make sure that the camera is correctly connected to your computer.
2.
If USB is not activated when you connect the USB cable after installing the USB driver from the bundled CD-ROM
3.
If USB cannot be activated after upgrading from Windows 98 to Windows Me
4.
If USB cannot be activated because the Windows 2000 USB Filter Driver is installed on Windows 98 or Me
5.
If other problems or limitations occur
[ Windows 2000 ]
1.
First check to make sure that the camera is correctly connected to your computer.
2.
If USB is not activated when you connect the USB cable after installing the USB driver from the bundled CD-ROM
3.
If you cannot install the USB driver in 2, above
4.
If other problems or limitations occur
[ Windows XP ]
1.
First check to make sure that the camera is correctly connected to your computer.
2.
If USB cannot be activated after upgrading from Windows 2000 to Windows XP
3.
If USB cannot be recognized because "Save power" is selected for "Power Management" by the OHCI type host controller
4.
If USB cannot be recognized because of conflict with virtual drive/network drive
5.

[ Mac OS ]
1.
First check to make sure that the camera is correctly connected to your computer.

If USB does not activate after you drag "CASIO-USB Storagedriver" and "CASIO-USBStorageClassShim" from the bundled CD-ROM to the "System Folder"
