Why can't I establish a USB connection? |

If USB cannot be recognized because of conflict with virtual drive/network drive |
|
|
|
When the next hard disk or CD drive is specified for virtual drive number/network drive number, "Removable Disk" will not be
recognized even if the USB driver is installed correctly. If this happens, you need to change the virtual drive/network drive
number to a higher ranked letter. This will allow "Removable Disk" to be recognized. |

|
Perform the following steps to change the network drive number.
|

On your computer, open "My Computer" and confirm that there is no "Removable Disk" icon for the camera connected with the USB cable.

Is the network drive number set to the next driver number following your hard disk drive or CD drive (Figure 1)? |

On the "Start Menu," select "Control Panel," "Performance and Maintenance," "System," "Hardware," and then
"Device Manager."

In the list of devices, open "Universal Serial Bus controllers."

Is there a question mark (?) or exclamation point (!) in front of "Casio Digital Camera" (Figure 2)? |

On the "Start" menu, right-click "My Computer" and then select "Disconnect Network Drive" on the shortcut menu that
appears (Figure 3). This will temporarily delete the current network drive.
