Warning concerning certain versions (3.1.6.4 and 3.1.7.0) of Photo Loader with HOT ALBUM image loader software

It has been discovered that certain versions of thePhoto Loader with HOT ALBUM (PLwHA) software for CASIO digital cameras have a problem can cause image data stored on the computer where they are running to be deleted.
This problem has been experienced with PLwHA Version 3.1.6.4, which comes bundled with the EXILIM EX-Z1080 and EX-Z18, and Version 3.1.7.0, which was available for download from the Internet.
Please check your PLwHA version. If your PLwHA version is 3.1.6.4 or 3.1.7.0, carefully read the explanation under "Attention Version 3.1.6.4 and 3.1.7.0 Owners" and update your software to PLwHA Version 3.1.7.1 as soon as possible. |

Attention Version 3.1.6.4 and 3.1.7.0 Owners |
|
The PLwHA software has a Data Migration function that automatically detects image folders created with previous versions of CASIO image management software (Photo Loader) and transfers the image data to a POCKET folder as PLwHA image data.
Though rare, selecting the Data Migration function's [Move (Delete)] option while running Version 3.1.6.4 or 3.1.7.0 can cause the original image data to be deleted, even though the data is not moved to the POCKET folder.
If you are running Version 3.1.6.4 or 3.1.7.0, be sure always to select the Data Migration function's [Copy (Retain)] option (which retains original image data).

This problem does not occur when loading images normally using the [Import Photos to Photo Pocket] button or when viewing loaded images. |

Use the following procedure to update to a new version of PLwHA.

Using Smart Version Update
If your computer is connected to the Internet, the following screen will appear when you start up PLwHA.
Select [Update Now] and then follow the instructions that appear to download and update PLwHA. |

If the Smart Version Update screen does not appear, visit the CASIO download site and download the latest version of PLwHA.
(The screen below shows what appears when Version 3.1.7.1 is the latest version available. Screen contents will change if a newer version becomes available.) |

Downloading from the Web
You can download the latest version of PLwHA from the CASIO download site. Got to the download site and follow the instructions under "To upgrade from a previous version of Photo Loader with HOT ALBUM," which is located under "Installing and Uninstalling Photo Loader with HOT ALBUM." |
