About Prerecord Movie |
 |
|
With Prerecord Movie, the camera continually updates a buffer that stores up to five seconds of
movie images. The buffer images are stored (followed by real-time movie recording) when you
press the Movie button to start movie recording. This means that you never miss an important
shot because you pressed the Movie button too late. Prerecord Movie can be used in combination
with the HS (High-Speed Movie), HD (High-definition Movie), and STD (Standard Movie) modes. |
 |
 |
 |
 |
To record with Prerecord Movie |
 |
 |
| 1. |
In the REC mode, rotate the movie mode switch to select
HS, HD, or STD.
|
| |
* |
The
currently selected movie mode will be indicated on the
monitor screen. |
| 2. |
Next, align the mode dial with BS. This will case the
BS icon to appear on the monitor screen. |
| 3. |
Press
[SET], and then select Prerecord Move from the list of
BS scenes. |
|
* |
At
this point the back lamp will flash and movie image recording
to the 5-second buffer will start. |
| 4. |
With
the camera pointed at the subject, press [Movie]. |
| |
* |
When
recording a High-speed Movie, half press the shutter button
before pressing [Movie] and pre-focus the subject. However,
note that this will cause the movie images currently stored
in the buffer to be deleted. |
| 5. |
Press
[Movie] again to stop recording. |
| |
* |
When
shooting with the High-speed Movie "30-300fps" setting,
you cannot change the speed (fps) setting when recording
to the buffer before pressing [Movie]. You can change the
speed (fps) setting after you press [Movie] to start real-time
recording.
Important!
The following are the maximum file sizes when shooting
with Prerecord Movie at a high speed of 600 fps or 1200
fps. In these cases you will not be able to shoot to the
normal maximum file size of 4 GB.
At 600 fps: 2 GB per file
At 1200 fps: 1 GB per file
