What to do when running Windows XP SP2 and experiencing problems with opening HTML files created by Photo Loader
| |
The following explanation has been confirmed based on operation under Windows XP
SP2 (RTM). |
Installing or upgrading Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) on a computer enhances Windows XP security. When an attempt is made on such a computer to open an active content file (HTML file that includes JavaScript) created using the Photo Loader application that comes bundled with a CASIO digital camera, a security protection message will appear and the computer will refuse to open the image or play the slideshow unless active content blocking is removed. Applicable users, defined below, can perform the steps described here to get past active content blocking. |
| |
Applicable Users |
Individuals using the Photo Loader application (Version 1.0 to 2.2) that comes bundled with the camera on a computer with Windows XP SP2 installed or a computer upgraded to Windows XP SP2 |

Solution |
The enhanced security of Windows XP SP2 can cause a security protection message to appear and block active
content when you attempt to use Internet Explorer to open an active content file (HTML file that includes
JavaScript) created using the Photo Loader application that comes bundled with a CASIO digital camera.
This can be corrected by downloading the latest version of Photo Loader from the CASIO download Website and
upgrading your version of Photo Loader.
If you are unable to upgrade your version of Photo Loader after downloading the latest version, try Method A or
Method B below to change your security settings.
