[2] Install the driver for the PAD-2B adapter you are using.
[3] Install the WQV Link 2.0 application on your computer.
[4] Start up WQV Link 2.0.
[1] Connect the PAD-2B adapter to your computer.
The PAD-2B 9-pin serial IR adapter connects to the 9-pin serial port of a computer.
[2] Install the driver for the PAD-2B adapter.
In order to use the PAD-2B IR adapter, you must first install its driver.
To install the PAD-2B driver
1. In the Control Panel, double-click Add New Hardware.
2. Click Next on the next two screens that appear.
3. On the next screen that appears, select No, I want to select the hardware
from a list. and then click Next.
4. On the hardware list that appear, select Network adapters and then click
Next.
5. On the Select Device dialog box that appears, click Infrared COM port or
dongle in the Manufacturers list and Generic Infrared Serial Port or dongle
in the Models list, and then click OK.
6. On the next screen that appears, click Finish.
7. In response to the message asking if you want to restart your computer, click
Yes to restart.

8. After your computer restarts, go to the Control Panel and double-click
Network.
9. On the Configuration tab of the Network dialog box, select Generic Infrared
Serial Port or dongle and then click the Properties button.
10. On the Advanced tab, click Serial Port in the Property list and check the
COM port number where the PAD-2B is connected.
11. In the Property list, select Infrared Transceiver and then click the button
next to the Value box.
12. In the list that appears, select ESI-9680 JetEye PC and then click the OK
button.
13. Restart your computer.

14.After your computer restarts, go to the Control Panel and double-click infrared.
15.On the options tab,check Enable infrared communication,click the Apply button and then click the OK button.
16.Installation of the PAD-2B driver is completion.

To install WQV Link 2.0
Start up Windows and place the CD-ROM that comes bundled with the Wrist
Camera into your computer’s CD-ROM drive.
Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/
Remove Programs.
Click Install.
Next, follow the instructions that appear on your screen to navigate to
the CD-ROM and run Setup.exe in the WQV Link Ver.2.0 folder.
Click Finish.
When the installer starts up, click Next.
Read the License Agreement that appears, and then click Yes if you agree to
be bound by its terms and conditions.
This displays the contents of the Read me file.
Make sure you carefully read the contents of the Read me file, and then click
Next.
Select the directory where you want to install the application and then click Next.
Select the folder where you want to install the application and then click Next.
This starts actual installation.
After installation is complete, click Finish.
[4] Starting up WQV Link 2.0
Click Start →Programs →CASIO Wrist Camera 2 Software →WQV Link Ver.2.0.
NOTE
If you have problems using the PAD-2B on your computer.
If the PAD-2B does not work properly even after you perform steps of the above procedure, go to the Website shown below and download the PAD-2B Utility for Windows 98/98SE.
The "pad2comm.exe" is a special utility software to solve problems using the PAD-2B on your computer running Windows 98/98SE.
Using the Program
1)To enable PAD-2
Run pad2comm.exe.
This displays the PAD2COMM dialog box.
In the [Setting] group, click [Enable PAD-2].
Click the [OK] button.
Restart Windows.
2)To disable PAD-2 and return your system to its original
settings
Run pad2comm.exe.
This displays the PAD2COMM dialog box.
In the [Setting] group, click [Disable PAD-2].
Click the [OK] button.
Restart Windows.
Important!
Use this program only on a computer running Windows
98 or Windows 98SE.
Use of this program does not necessarily guarantee proper
operation of the PAD-2 or PAD-2B.
If the PAD-2 or PAD-2B still does not operate correctly
after running this program, be sure to change your system back to its original
settings.
If you experience operational problems with your PC
or its peripherals after running this program, stop using your system immediately
and change your system back to its original settings. This software makes
changes to your system's registry. Continued use of your system while it
is not operating correctly runs the risk of corrupting the registry.
