[1] Connect the PAD-5 adapter to your computer.
You can connect the PAD-5 IR adapter directly to your computer's USB port.
You
can also use the USB cable that comes with the PAD-5 to connect to your
computer and mount the PAD IR adapter on its stand.
The PAD-5 is designed for root hub connection.
Be sure you connect it directly
to your computer’s USB port.
Proper operation is not guaranteed when the
PAD-5 is connected to a USB port of another device.
[2] Install the driver required for the PAD-5 adapter
In order to use the PAD-5 IR adapter, you must first install its driver.
1. Plug the PAD-5 into your computer’s USB port.
2. Insert the CD-ROM with the PAD-5 driver into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
3. When your system detects the new hardware, it displays an Add New
Hardware Wizard dialog box.
4. Click Next.
5. On the next screen, select Search for the best driver for your device
(Recommended) and then click Next.
6. On the next screen that appears, select the Specify the location option, click
Browse, navigate to the CD-ROM, and then select the Win98 folder inside the
PAD5Driver folder. Finally, click Next.
7. Follow the instructions that appear on your computer screen to complete the
installation.
8. Restart your computer.

9.After your computer restarts, go to the Control Panel and double-click infrared.
10.On the options tab,check Enable infrared communication,click the Apply button and then click the OK button.
11.Installation of the PAD-5 driver is completion.
[3] Installing WQV Link 2.0
To install WQV Link 2.0
Start up Windows and place the CD-ROM that comes bundled with the Wrist
Camera into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/
Remove Programs.
Click Install.
Next, follow the instructions that appear on your screen to navigate to
the CD-ROM and run Setup.exe in the WQV Link Ver.2.0 folder.
Click Finish.
When the installer starts up, click Next.
Read the License Agreement that appears, and then click Yes if you agree to
be bound by its terms and conditions.
This displays the contents of the Read me file.
Make sure you carefully read the contents of the Read me file, and then click
Next.
Select the directory where you want to install the application and then click Next.
Select the folder where you want to install the application and then click Next.
This starts actual installation.
After installation is complete, click Finish.
[4] Starting up WQV Link 2.0
Click Start →Programs →CASIO Wrist Camera 2 Software →WQV Link Ver.2.0.
