Restructuring

Casio has drastically restructured to put the company in a stronger position to pursue and achieve the Medium-Term Management Plan released in May of this year. This restructuring is designed to build an optimal company-wide organizational structure to pursue a customer value creation style of management and, at the same time, to build a streamlined, flexible organizational structure that eliminates inefficiency.

Business Strategy Headquarters

  • Business Unit Manager positions have been retitled Senior General Manager, and responsibilities have been clarified. In addition, the departmental structure for business units (BU) has been eliminated, and a Strategy Manager position and some sections have been introduced to facilitate speedy planning and promotion of strategy.
  • The DPJ and VI BU has been renamed the DPJ BU, and VI has been shifted to Product Development Headquarters.
  • The Business Strategy Department has been renamed the Business Management Department, and it will be responsible for centrally managing the promotion of strategy.

Product Development Headquarters

  • To strengthen design development for each brand, the Design Department of the Timepiece Planning Division has been divided into the First Design Department and Second Design Department.
  • The Quality Assurance Department of the System Development Division has been eliminated, and certain functions the department had implemented have been shifted to Customer Satisfaction Headquarters.

Business & Technology Development Center

  • The new Imaging Development Division has been established with the First Development Department and Second Development Department under its umbrella. This division will focus on providing a customer value creation style of business that utilizes imaging-related technology.
  • The DB Development Department has been restructured into the Technology Development Division under the Center. This division will focus on quickly getting operations ready to launch new business.

Customer Satisfaction Headquarters

  • The new Technology Division has been established and has incorporated the CS Technology Department and Technology Planning Department under its umbrella. Customer Satisfaction Headquarters will focus on utilizing customer feedback on quality to improve product quality.

Global Marketing Headquarters

This division of responsibility by product category is designed for better execution of a customer value creation style business strategy.
  • The System Department of the Overseas Sales Division has been transferred to the System Sales Division and renamed the Overseas Sales Department.
  • The Promotion Department has been restructured into the Timepiece Promotion Department and Consumer Promotion Department with responsibilities divided by product category to execute promotional planning from the user’s point of view.
