"Ghibli Park" opened on November 1st, 2022, within the grounds of Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park (Moricoro Park) in Nagakute City, Aichi Prefecture.

Three areas opened in the park’s first phase: "Ghibli's Grand Warehouse", "Hill of Youth," and "Dondoko Forest". The park represents the world of Studio Ghibli and inherits the philosophy of the Aichi World Expo 2005, which was held under the theme, "Nature's Wisdom". The ongoing development of the park is guided by the aim of achieving a symbiosis with the activities underpinning the park; taking into consideration its function as an urban park in harmony with nature and impacts on the natural environment.

As a company, CASIO too strives for a sustainable society. Operating under the themes of "Realizing a Decarbonized Society", "Building a Circular Economy", and "Living in Harmony with Nature", the company is tackling sustainability on multiple fronts. It has sponsored part of a water resource forest in Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture and named it "CASIO Forest” to support its conservation; supports a non-profit organization that works on the conservation and regeneration of coral reefs; and is switching to renewable energy sources at its main premises in Japan. CASIO is also improving the sustainability of its products, for example, by developing and selling watches that use biomass plastic and label writers that reduce plastic waste.

The idea of living in harmony with nature that underlies Ghibli Park resonates with CASIO. We are therefore supporting the park as an official partner, so that we may do our part in making it a park loved by many.

As a company that creates products that are a familiar presence in people’s lives, CASIO will persist in actively promoting environmental initiatives into the future and continue to be a company that contributes positively to society.
