Casio Executes OPEN COVID-19 DECLARATION

Tokyo, June 10, 2020 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced today its execution of the OPEN COVID-19 DECLARATION * , pledging not to assert intellectual property rights which Casio owns in and outside Japan for any company activities whose purpose is stopping the spread of COVID-19, including in the areas of development, manufacture, and sales.

In addition to monetary donations to medical facilities, Casio has also provided free online scientific calculator services and other types of support that the company is uniquely positioned to provide. This support aims to help bring an early end to the pandemic and return to social and economic activities.

Casio is executing the OPEN COVID-19 DECLARATION as part of these efforts. Under this declaration, the company pledges not to assert any patents, utility models, or design patents during a certain period of time for any activities whose sole purpose is stopping the spread of COVID-19.

Casio will continue to take active steps to help bring an early end to the pandemic and return to social and economic activities.
