TOKYO, January 18, 2024 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced today that it will exhibit at the 2024 NAMM Show, a musical instrument trade show held in Anaheim, California, in the United States, together with Casio America, Inc., a Casio Group subsidiary, from January 25 through 28.
The NAMM Show is one of the largest musical instrument trade shows in the world and dates back to 1901, more than 120 years ago. Every year, musical instrument manufacturers from around the world announce new products and present displays at the event. Approximately 47,000 people attended the 2023 NAMM Show.
This year, the Casio booth will feature displays of its flagship Privia, CELVIANO, and Casiotone models, with talks and live performances by special guests, and more.
Of particular note is the occasion of Privia’s 20th anniversary as a brand that harmonizes with people’s lifestyles and is cherished by a diverse range of users. Total shipments of Privia products surpassed the 3 million unit mark in September 2023. The Casio booth will feature onstage appearances by special guests, including pianist Sumino Hayato, who is the Casio electronic musical instrument ambassador. In addition to performers talking about ways the appealing features of Privia digital pianos overlap with their music-oriented lifestyles, live performances will allow attendees to experience the sophisticated quality of the Privia sound firsthand.
New CELVIANO digital piano models will also be unveiled for the first time in about four years. Visitors will be introduced to the brand’s commitment to delivering new experiences with the piano, combining advanced performance capabilities based on the history of the traditional piano and unique, innovative features created by the characteristic creativity of Casio.
The Casiotone keyboard exhibit will feature displays of keyboards including the CT-S1000V, which can play singing voices, and the CT-S1, a portable keyboard with minimalist design, which fits right into daily life. Visitors will be able to try out these keyboards with their differing selections of features to discover new ways of enjoying music in their own unique ways.
In addition, Casio will exhibit the Dimension Tripper, which allows wireless operation of commercially available guitar effects pedals,* as a reference. This model can change how the effects pedal modifies the sound by attaching a guitar strap and expanding and contracting the spring.
* Can operate only guitar effectors equipped with an external control terminal
