Notice of Personnel Changes and Organizational Restructuring

TOKYO, April 21, 2025 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced the following personnel changes and organizational restructuring on March 26, 2025.
Casio implemented the organizational restructuring detailed below on April 1, 2024 in order to strengthen its system for promoting its education business and to strengthen the development system for its core businesses (timepiece and education), as well as new businesses.
Main Points of the Organizational Restructuring
- In order to better adapt to environmental changes in the education market and maximize the value Casio provides, the company has integrated its Education Business structure, which had previously been divided into hardware and applications.
- In order to accelerate new business development that leverages the assets of its Sound Business, the company has reorganized its Sound Business Unit and new businesses structure, integrating them into the Development Headquarters.
- In order to be able to proactively and rapidly develop timepiece and educational products, the company has reorganized its development structure by business category.
- Positions responsible for the function dimension traversing the development structure for business categories and new businesses have been established.
- In order to bolster quality, cost and delivery (QCD) in production and procurement, the company has reorganized its Production Headquarters.
- In order to instill an appreciation of the Casio Purpose among stakeholders, the company has restructured its communication organization.
- In order to strengthen IT governance, the company has restructured its Digital Innovation Headquarters.
The personnel changes and organizational structure associated with the above restructuring, as well as other structural changes, are as follows.

Structure after the Organizational Restructuring
|Education Business Unit
- The EdTech Division and Educational Business Unit have been integrated to form the Education Business Unit, and the EdTech Strategy Department and Advanced Planning Department have been established under the Unit.
- Functions related to developing specifications for scientific calculators previously under the Development Headquarters have been transferred to the EdTech Strategy Department.
|SMB Solution Division
- SMB product development functions previously under the Development Headquarters have been transferred to the SMB Solution Division and structured as the Development Department within that Division.
- SA product functions under the SMB Solution Division have been transferred to the System Business Promotion Department.
|Development Headquarters
- The Business Innovation Center, Development Promotion Unit, Development Unit-1, Development Unit-2, and Mechanism Development Unit under the Headquarters have been restructured.
- The Business Innovation Center’s incubation functions and the sound product development functions of each unit have been integrated with the Sound Business Unit and NB Center to establish the Business Development Center under the Development Headquarters.
- The Business Development Center has been organized to include the Strategy Department-1, Strategy Department-2, Strategy Department-3, Strategy Department-4, New Product Development Department-1, New Product Development Department-2, Sound Products Engineering Department, and Sound Products Development Department.
- Business Innovation Center R&D functions have been isolated to establish the Research & Development Unit, and the AI Technology Development Department and the Software Hardware Technology Development Department have been placed under the Unit.
- The timepiece development functions of each unit have been integrated to establish the Timepiece Product Development Unit, and the Development Department, Engineering Department, and Production Technology Department have been placed under the Unit.
- The educational development functions of each unit and certain EdTech Division development functions have been integrated to establish the Educational Development Unit, and the Development Department, Engineering Department, and Technology Development Strategy Department have been placed under the Unit.
- In the Quality Assurance Unit, the Quality Planning Department, Hardware Quality Assurance Department-1, Hardware Quality Assurance Department-2, and Software Quality Assurance Department have been reorganized to form the Quality Assurance Department-1, Quality Assurance Department-2, and the Quality Planning Department.
- In the Design Unit, the Design Department, Watches & Wearables, the Product Design Department, and the Communication Design Department have been reorganized to form the Product Design Department and the CX Design Department.
- The Sound Business Unit and NB Center have been eliminated.
|Production Headquarters
- The cost strategy functions handled by the Purchasing Department under the Production Headquarters have been transferred to the Production Strategy Department.
|Global Marketing Headquarters
- The sales functions of the EdTech Division have been transferred to the Domestic Sales Division.
- The Domestic Sales Division’s EMI Sales and Planning Department and Consumer Sales and Planning Department have been integrated to establish the Consumer Sales and Planning Department.
|Corporate Branding & Communication Division
- The Corporate Communication Headquarters has been renamed the Corporate Branding & Communication Division.
- Certain functions of the Communication Design Department have been transferred to the Public Relations Department.
|Digital Innovation Headquarters
- The security functions handled by the Digital Innovation Headquarters’ Global IT Strategy Department have been isolated to form the newly established Global IT Governance Department. The Global IT Strategy Department has been renamed the Service Development Department.
- The Digital Innovation Headquarters’ Enterprise System Department has been renamed the ERP Strategy and Standards Department and the IT Solution Promotion Department renamed the Collaboration Promotion Department.
