Casio Green Star Certified Products

Casio develops products that take into account environmental impact throughout the entire product lifecycle, from the product development and design stages through customer use to disposal and post-use recycling.

We have been independently evaluating our products since 1993 and assess the impact of our new products on the environment. Products meeting any of the following criteria are certified as Casio Green Star products.

• Use of solar power
• Use of 10-year battery
• Shock-resistant structure
• Reduced power consumption (relative to comparable Casio model)
• Reduced product size and volume (relative to comparable Casio model)
• Reduced product weight (relative to comparable Casio model)
• Improved loading rate achieved by using smaller individual packaging (relative to comparable Casio model)
• Reduced package plastic (relative to comparable Casio model)
• PVC use eliminated
• Acquisition of environmental labels (Eco Mark, etc., both in and outside Japan)
• Use of biomass plastics
• Use of recycled plastics
• Introduction of LCA environmental impact assessment
